Do the New BC Food Safety Regulations affect your business?

Bc Food Safety LawBC Food Safety Regulations

The Government of British Columbia enacted regulations in 2014 to enhance food safety in BC’s food processing industry.

These regulatory changes require that as a food processor, you will need to develop, maintain and follow a written Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point – (HACCP) based food safety plan, as well as a sanitation plan.

The Ministry of Health’s Health Protection Branch intends to have all food processors complete this process by March 2016, with each plan requiring approval from your local health safety officer. Detailed requirements can be found at www.bclaws.ca/Recon/document/ID/11_210_99.

We are always happy to assist the BC Food processing community in implementing food safety systems.
